New Music / CD Review: This week's additions to swing music repertoire... available for play starting this Wednesday are tracks from Colin James latest CD! In my ongoing search for the latest and greatest swing dance music, I came across this gem of a CD, a fairly recent release entitled Colin James & the Little Big Band 3. Colin James is a Canadian blues guitarist whose past Colin James and the Little Big Band (1993) and Colin James and the Little Big Band II (1998) CDs have been smash hits among swing dancers. Recently, I was surprised to find that, after an 8-year hiatus, the Little Big Band 3 CD had come out in 2006. Even more surprisingly, none of its songs have yet been played at local swing dances. But now, after giving the new CD a good listen, it's time to remedy that situation! Read the Whole Review

Swinging Bulls Lindy Bash: Swing Time is teaming up with USF's Swinging Bulls for the Lindy Bash Weekend. The weekend kicks off Friday night, November 7th, at Centro Asturiano with the Swing Time! 1940's USO Swing Dance, our Veteran's Day tribute featuring the 18-piece Ten O'Clock Big Band! Then the Swinging Bulls take it away Saturday and Sunday with 2 days of Lindy Hop workshops and dancing!
