TONIGHT -- Friday, March 4th -- Swing Time presents... all the way from New York City... the one and only George Gee Swing Orchestra! Happening live at the spectacular Gulfport Casino Ballroom, the event starts with a group swing-dance lesson, 8-9pm (no partner needed), followed by live music & dancing, 9:00pm-12:30am. Doors open 7:30pm and all ages are welcome!

George Gee and his Swing Orchestra have been at the forefront of the swing revival since before it even started. The favorite band of swing legend, Frankie Manning, they headlined all his major birthday celebrations, providing the live swinging sounds for thousands of joyous dancers from across the world! George Gee formed his swinging big band during his college days in 1980, and has never looked back. A few years later, the band was in huge demand across the tri-state NY/PA/NJ region, and was a frequent performer for the New York Swing Dance Society. Fast forward to today, and the George Gee Swing Orchestra has a mammoth resume that includes hundreds of appearances at top swing clubs & societies, lindy exchanges, dance camps & weekends across the USA; major concert appearances and music festivals around the globe; powerful "Battles of the Big Bands"; television appearances including being the first big band to play on MTV; audio recordings; and private engagements too numerous to mention... they were even summoned to perform for rocker Ozzy Osbourne's 50th birthday party in Beverly Hills!

Swing Time is Florida's Premier Swing Event, held the first Friday of every month in Tampa Bay at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The Gulfport Casino is located in the St. Petersburg area at 5500 Shore Blvd. S., Gulfport FL 33707.

Saturday MAR 26th, Swing Time performs at Ducky Goes Retro -- a Sock Hop themed benefit happening 6-10pm at the Garden Club (500 Sunset Drive, St Petersburg) and sponsored by All Children's Hospital Guild Beach Branch.
