Celebrate Swing Time's 13th Anniversary
Saturday November 23rd,  9:00pm-Midnight,  at Dimmitt Community Center in Belleair

Live music by the Fruit Stand Jam Band.  After a day at the beaches, the party hops over to the town of Belleair on the mainland.  Saturday night's main event features dancing on the smooth hardwood floors of the Dimmitt Community Center gymnasium.  This dance hall is huge!  Orlando's 6-piece Lindy-Hop-inspired dance band, the Fruit Stand Jam Band, headlines a night full of dancing, fun, surprises, ...and anniversary cake!  Saturday's Swing Spectacular is presented by Swing Time & The Lindy Connection.  Tickets are $20; purchase them at the door (cash only).

The Fruit Stand Jam Band is a 6-piece Lindy-Hop-inspired dance band hailing from Orlando, Florida.  The Fruit Stand Jam Band was formed in 2011 by six avid lindy hopping friends and musicians who wanted to play music that inspired the dance.  Pulsing rhythm, swinging melodies and solos, and hot horns and vocals are just a few ingredients that have made this traditional jazz ensemble a favorite among Orlando dancers!  The band is currently in hot demand at dance events across the region.

Next Wednesday, November 27th — With Thanksgiving on Thursday, the weekend starts Wednesday night, when Swing Time hosts a special evening of live music and swing dancing!  Join in celebration at the Gulfport Casino Swing Night for Swing Time's Pre-Thanksgiving Bash!  This huge swing-dance party is always one of the biggest Wednesday Swing Nights of the year, attracting not just locals but out-of-towners who are home for the holidays.

The Bash features live jump/blues and swing music by D.W. Gill & the Swingin' Jukes.  It starts with a Foxtrot Dance Lesson 6-7pm, followed by Swing Dance Lesson 7-8pm, then Live Music & Dancing 8-11pm.  Admission's just $10 (get your tickets at the door), all ages are welcome, no partner is needed, and it all happens in the spectacular waterfront ballroom of the Gulfport Casino!

D.W. Gill & the Swingin' Jukes are a five-piece outfit featuring D.W. Gill on vocals, harmonica & sax, plus the area's finest jump-blues veterans: Matt Swenson on guitar, Tom "TBone" Hamilton on bass, Dennis "Jungle Denny" McCarthy on drums, and Marshall DeMott on saxophone.  Get ready to dance to a diverse mix of jump, swing, and blues originals & classics, with a bit of New Orleans flavor thrown in!
