This Friday, June 4th, experience the hot swingin' roots & rockabilly of The Cadillac Bombers, LIVE at the Gulfport Casino!  Not your ordinary rockabilly band, The Cadillac Bombers bring a diverse mix of sounds & instrumentation, from bass to banjo, guitar to washboard.  Since half the band members are longtime swing dancers, not only do they know their dance music, but you've probably danced with someone in the band!  Join us this Friday!  (details below)

Sam & Carleene perform "At the Hop" at the Swing Dance USA Championship Showcase, last Saturday 5/29/2010 at the St. Petersburg Coliseum.  (See the video!)  We'll be teaching this original Swing Time choreography starting Tuesday July 6th in our upcoming 8-week course series at 1st Dance Studio.

Balboa Lessons start this Wednesday, June 2nd at the Gulfport Casino Swing Night and continue every Wednesday in June!  This Wednesday, June 2nd, in the 6-7pm Bonus Lesson, learn the Balboa basics and fundamentals plus how to travel and turn in Balboa.  The remaining Wednesdays in June, we'll spend the first 15 minutes reviewing/reinforcing the basics, and cover a different theme (set of related moves and steps) each time.  Anyone can start or jump in any week; but take all five weeks for the maximum benefit.

 SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER Special starts this Wednesday...  Attention Students, and Teachers Too!  Just flash your school ID at the door at this Wednesday's Gulfport Casino Swing Night, pay your $7 admission, and receive a Free Pass good for any upcoming Wednesday!  The Gulfport Casino Swing Night starts with a Balboa Bonus Lesson 6-7pm followed by a Swing Dance Lesson 7-8pm and Swing Music & Dancing 8-11pm.  Admission to Wednesday Swing Nights is just $7, which includes 2 Free Lessons and great all-around fun for all ages!  No partner is needed.  (details below)

Registration is now open for Swing Time's summer 8-week dance courses, which start Tuesday July 6th at 1st Dance Studio in St. Petersburg.  Summer offerings are Lindy Hop I and Lindy Hop II and "At the Hop" (Choreographed Lindy/Swing Routine).  Check out the course descriptions online, then join us for the new sessions!  Register now to reserve your space!  (details below)

Friday, June 25th, Swing Time's Dancers perform at the Dancers4Cancer benefit at the St. Petersburg Coliseum.  This event features live music by Terry & the Pirates, plus lots of dancing and more!  Come out, dance, and support this great cause... all proceeds benefit the Gulfcoast Oncology Foundation.  (details below)
